Saint George (2014)

The ABC sitcom Saint George follows George (George Lopez), a recently divorced dude who has become a successful entrepreneur. Even though they are no longer wed, George is still abnormally close to his ex-wife Mackenzie (Jenn Lyon), partially because of their love for their eleven-year-old son, Harper (Kaden Gibson). Since the separation, George has been shacking up with his mean and overbearing mother Alma (Olga Merediz) and his freeloading uncle Tio (Danny Trejo) and awkward cousin Junior (Davis Zayas). The well-intentioned father tries to balance the demands of Mackenzie while trying to please his stubborn mother. Of course, since this is a George Lopez vehicle, there are plenty of multi-cultural jokes flying around each episode, but there’s very little flesh, except from some shirtless action from the ponytailed and tattooed television tough guy Danny Trejo. We’d love to give that ponytail a couple quick tugs.
