Hairbrained (2014)

Not being accepted to the college of your dreams can drastically change your life, and in the quirky comedy HairBrained (2013), fourteen-year-old genius, outcast and frizzy-haired Eli Pettifog (Alex Wolf) is devastated when he’s rejected from Harvard University. Determined to succeed, Eli begins attending Whittman College where he crosses paths with Leo Searly (Brendan Frasier), a forty-one year old beer-drinking gambler whose abandoned life to enroll in college. With a partying and neglectful mother (Parker Posey) at home, Eli finds kinship with Leo, who tries to teach him a thing or two while he plots his revenge against Harvard by putting a trivia-minded team together to beat his Ivy League nemesis in a quiz bowl competition. Between the laughs, we get a generous look at Michael Oberholtzer’s cheeks as he threatens Eli in the shower. Wish Michael would’ve dropped the soap!
