James McArdle followed in the famous footsteps of Albert Finney, Ciarán Hinds, Ian McShane, Peter O’Toole, Roger Moore, Sean Bean, and Timothy Dalton by learning his acting craft at  the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Since then, the sexy thespian made himself known to live audiences across the pond. From The Globe’s production of Macbeth in 2010 to Almeida Theatre’s The Tragedy of Macbeth in 2021, the Scottish hottie has been sizzling on London stages for more than a decade. He won the Ian Charleson Award for Platonov (2015) at England’s National Theatre as well as the Theatre World Award for Angels in America (2018) at the Neil Simon Theatre on Broadway.
