John Hennigan is a burly beast of a man, broad in all the right ways. Don’t recognize the name? How about Johnny Nitro? Johnny Superstar? Johnny Impact? All names he’s been announced as while entering the ring in the world of theatrical wrestling. He’s been in over 800 matches, over 80 of them on pay-per-view, and he’s a four-time world champion. Luckily, the world of wrestling often involved shirtless costumes and tiny mankini panties, letting us all see the marvel of a finely toned physique. With an intense stare, long hair, and a fine form, John has easily transitioned to arenas beyond those with a bell, appearing on television as both is wrestling persona, and as other characters. He’s been in episodes of Shameless, Baby Daddy, Emerald City, The Guest Book, The Last Ship, and landed the regular role of Red Talon in The Guardians of Justice in 2022. On the big screen, he played a Lords gang member in Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn (2020). You may also know him from the TV movie Sharknado 5: Global Swarming (2017), or maybe from the 2018 season of Survivor, where he survived long enough to finish 12th out of 20 contestants (he was shirtless in most of these episodes, too). And if you’re a fan of cheesy movies that make you laugh, check him out in Boone: The Bounty Hunter (2017) with Kevin Sorbo. Oh, and John didn’t just appear in the flick—he also wrote it and served as executive producer.
