The younger brother of character actor Ben Foster, Jon Foster was born and raised in Iowa, where he started his acting career with stage roles in local community theater productions. Jon made his TV debut in 1999, when he appeared in the pilot episode of the short-lived FOX series Get Real, featuring future stars Taryn Manning and Anne Hathaway. Jon’s first appearance on the big screen came in the fact-based 2000 thriller Thirteen Days, based on the events of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Unfortunately, we don’t get to see Jon’s meat missile and that’s the real crisis!
Throughout the 2000s, Jon was a TV fixture making regular appearances as Henry in the 2001 sitcom Danny, as Ben Connor in the high school drama Life as We Know It, as Damien Cutler in the NBC drama Windfall, and costarring with Jenna Elfman in the sitcom Accidentally on Purpose. Hey Jon, why don’t you show some skin accidentally on purpose?
On the big screen, Jon has appeared in the 2001 drama Life as a House, the big budget sci-fi flick Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003), and the skin-filled 2008 movie The Informers. He also enjoys rollerblading, boxing, playing drums, and fixing up old muscle cars, all of which he does, hopefully, with his shirt off.
