Biography

With Superman-meets-Don Draper looks, Ken Wahl was a talent scout’s wet dream! Born into a German/Italian family in Chicago, the Windy City babe blew agents over in Hollywood. He kicked off his career by kicking off his clothes in The Wanderers (1979). In fact, Ken literally went balls out when he flashed his ass in the R-rated flick! The topless hottie then exposed his… sense of humor in the Bette Midler comedy Jinxed! (1982). Living up to the film’s title, director Don Siegel suffered a heart attack during production. At least, the final product featured Wahl’s bare chest and sexy skivvies! After acting opposite Paul Newman in Fort Apache, The Bronx (1981) and Billy Dee Williams in The Dirty Dozen: Next Mission (1985), Ken caught his big break on the small screen series Wiseguy (1987-1990). As Vinnie Terranova, the boob tube cutie won over fans and critics alike. Indeed, both he and the crime show received Golden Globes! Perhaps that’s why Wahl reprised the role in the TV movie Wiseguy (1996). Off screen, Ken endured a debilitating motorcycle accident, irresponsible doctors, and related consequences. But as a survivor, he found happiness and a new purpose with his second wife. Together, the two support animal rights and disabled US military veterans. In her autobiography “Underneath It All,” actress Traci Lords confessed to having an affair with Ken in 1988. He “was tall, dark, and brooding with a mischievous smile,” writes Traci, “He was one sexy man.” Of course, we knew that all along!
