La Brea (2021-2024)

The NBC sci-fi adventure mystery series La Brea debuted on the network in the fall of 2021 and kicked off with a massive sinkhole opening up in Los Angeles at the site of the La Brea Tar Pits. A disparate group of people get sucked into the sinkhole and arrive in a primeval land where the distant past and the far flung future all collide. Now this group of strangers must work together if they're going to survive. Much like Lost, the series jumps back and forth between the events currently unfolding in the present and the various past incidents in the characters' lives that inform the decisions they are making in the present. Somehow the show got through an entire season with nary a shirtless man to be found but the second episode of season two gave us a brief but glorious shirtless scene from Nicholas Gonzalez!
