Devs (2020)

Coming from the mind of Alex Garland who brought us the genius Ex Machina (2014) and the wild and eerie Annihilation (2018), he brings us another technology related suspense story, Devs, focusing on computer engineer Lily (Sonoya Mizuno) who is beginning to think that the tech company she works for has in fact murdered her boyfriend after offering him a lucrative and highly secretive position at a new and covert facility where they are focusing on developing technology beyond their wildest dreams!  Once he disappears, she decides to turn over every rock, read every line of code, and hopefully find what the hell happened to her fella!  She employs the help of a begrudging ex Jamie (Jin Ha) to help her out and go up against a potentially dangerous employer with endless resources and a secretive new technology at their disposal.  This tense mystery doesn't have a ton of possibility for nudity in it but we do get a shirt Jin Ha as well as some proper villainy from the ever adorable Nick Offerman, even as sinister as he is in this one!
