His recent Bible-thumping, expletive-flinging exploits may have tarnished his reputation, but we can all agree that back in the '80s, Mel Gibson was hotter than Outback asphalt. The Aussie Aussie Aussie boy-toy toy toy is one of Australia's most famous exports, but he was actually born in upstate New York, where he lived with his parents before the family moved to Sydney when Mel was 12. Mel got his start in Summer City (1977) but shot to international stardom as the title character in Mad Max (1979), a role he reprised in a couple of sequels. He lives now only in our memory, but who could forget seeing Max Rochatansky's roock hard chest for the first time? And who didn't want to be his gal pal after seeing Mel tear off his downunder-wear, and go for a full frontal skinnydip in Gallipoli (1981). The post-apocalyptic role of Max Rockatansky made him an action movie star, which led to him getting cast as the cool, young, but also suicidal and crazy Martin Riggs in the iconic blak-white buddy cop series Lethal Weapon (1987). We would've loved a peek at his piece in that flick, but we only got a bit of butt as he gets out of bed. After the sequels, in 1996, he won the Oscar for Best Director for his Highland epic Braveheart (1995), which he also starred in,ushering in a new era of dramatic legitimacy for the blue-eyed '80s icon. Our favorite scene is when the Scottish soldiers moon the English ones. Shame it wasn't a peace offering. That movie would've been more entertaining. He last flashed shirtless in Payback (1999), but after starring in hits like The Patriot (2000), What Women Want (2000) and Signs (2002), some ugly offscreen moments led to Mel getting sort of cancelled. But with a tight can like that, he was bound to make a comeback. He directed the monster hit Jesus flick The Passion of the Christ (2004), and Apocalypto (2006), before jumpstarting his acting career by showing up in The Beaver (2011), and The Expendables 3 (2014). Mel directed the conscientious objector drama Hacksaw Ridge (2016), before appearing in Boss Level (2020) and most recently joining Mark Wahlberg in Father Stu (2022). Now approaching full on dirty grandpa age, we'd like for Mel to flash again. Your cock and balls, Mel: Freeee-them!
