Motive (2013) is a Canadian crime show developed by Daniel Cerone, who co-created Constantine, which throws a wrench into the typical whodunnit formula. Every episode of the show tells you exactly who killed who, and the mystery of the show centers around the how, the why, and the "if" of whether our team of detectives can figure out what happened or will end up charging the wrong guy. The show stars Kristin Lehman as Detective Angie Flynn, a Vancouver based Homicide detective and single mom who works alongside Medical Examiner Dr. Betty Rogers (Lauren Holly) to make sure these clever Canuck crooks don't outsmart them. Highlights of the show's four season long run include an episode called "Framed" where Owen (Nichoals Carella) admits to killing an art enthusiast named Julia (Hilary Jardine), only, the viewers know he's covering up for his killer mom Marion (Mary Pat Gleason), "Overboard" which features a special ops soldier (Niall Matter) stealing a buddy's identity which hugely complicates a murder investigation he's involved in, and "For You I Die" where the gang investigate a murder whose prime suspect is one of their own. Motive loving mo's like us don't need an ulterior motive to see Luke Humphrey's shirtless chest in one extremely memorable episode! You'll be pretty motivated to track down this scene seeing how he answers the door for the cops in just his boxers. Looks like we're guilty of staring as he's being interrogated by the police. Put the handcuffs on us, officer, because we've been very bad. That scene from Motive will provide plenty of motivation for masturbation!
