Review

The Ong-Bak has the power to bring rain, something that the poor villagers drastically need. The action of the martial arts drama Ong Bak (2005) kicks in when the villagers send Ting (Tony Jaa), a young and adventurous dude, to Bangkok to find their treasured head. Things aren’t going to be easy for Ting, especially since he’s going to have to travel into a seedy underworld to reclaim the decorative head. Thankfully he’s been trained in the art of Muay Thai since he was a child. Great, right? Wrong. Ting took an oath to not use his ancient knowledge in combat, but if he plans on surviving his trip, he must make with the flips and kicks to neutralize his enemies. There’s a lot of action, but there’s very little flesh. Tony Jaa and Chatthapong Pantanaunkul show off their beefy bodies while getting ready for battle. Hope you like beefcake!
