Oy Vey! My Son Is Gay!! (2009)

The comedy flick Oy Vey! My Son Is Gay (2009) follows Nelson (John Lloyd Young), a single dude that his well intentioned mother Shirley (Lainie Kazan) is always trying to play matchmaker for. As the title obviously foreshadows, Nelson is definitely not interested in girls, but don’t tell that to his parents. When Nelson tells his mother that he’s already in a relationship, she makes an unannounced visit to his apartment in hopes of meeting the lucky gal. Instead, mom is greeted by Angelo (Jai Rodriguez), who enables Nelson by introducing himself as his decorator. Bless mom’s heart, because she believes the lie, and she thinks that her sweet son is dating Sybil (Carmen Electra), the pretty next-door neighbor. As the pressure to keep his gay on the down low becomes too much, Nelson uses his cousin’s wedding as the perfect opportunity to come out of the closet, prompting a family feud. Being the loving parents, they actually try to support their son, setting up an awkward dinner with Angelo’s parents. Things really go crazy when Nelson and Angelo attempt to adopt a son, and they get the national spotlight shined on their relationship. There are a lot of laughs in the film, but there’s very little skin. Jai Rodriguez teases his sexy physique while wearing overalls without a shirt. Oy Vey! Mr. Man was hoping for more skin!
