Passion (2012)

A BBC/HBO mini-series, The Passion (2008) explores the last week of the life of Jesus. Over four episodes Jesus arrives in Jerusalem, has his fate sealed, is crucified, and is resurrected. Series creators Frank Deasy and Nigel Stafford-Clark had hoped to expand the story beyond what’s typically told, expanding the roles of Pontius Pilate and Caiaphas and exploring the politics of Judea. And, whether they meant to or not, they explored a bit of skin, too — the gorgeous Paul Nichols, as Judas, loses his pants to go skinny-dipping, gets measured for a loin cloth, and bares his tan tush in a sex scene. We don’t remember any of that from Sunday School.
