Plush (2013)

Thanks to the skin on Xavier Samuel, Mr. Man finds the thriller Plush (2013) extra thrilling despite the fact that it was a critical miss and box office bomb. Under the direction of Catherine Hardwicke (who co-wrote the screenplay with Arty Nelson), this erotic drama focuses on a chick named Hayley (Emily Browning) and her beloved brother Jack (Thomas Dekker). As members of the titular band, they’re all set to become a smashing success. But when Jack tragically overdoses, Hayley goes into a tailspin and falls right into the comforting arms of the group’s new guitarist Enzo (Xavier Samuel). Their romance seems like it’s meant to be until Enzo starts to insinuate himself into every aspect of Hayley’s life. As such, it becomes apparent that his true nature is less than comforting — especially when a light is shone on his dark history. Can Hayley break away before it’s too late? Will she receive support from Annie (Dawn Olivieri), Butch Hopkins (Brandon Jay McLaren), Camila (Frances Fisher), Carter (Cam Gigandet), Dr. Lopez (Elizabeth Peña) or Dr. Ortiz (Marlene Forte)? And will we be pleased to see Mr. Samuel shed his threads? Even though he plays a guitarist with hidden motives, the skintastic actor doesn't hide much of his backside when he’s fooling around with Ms. Browning. As a matter of fact, Xavier flashes his bare back and nude booty twice in the movie. Perhaps this pic would have been more of a success, had the rocking star revealed his drumstick as well!
