Poolman (2024)

Chris Pine makes his directorial debut with Poolman (2024), a bizarre passion project where he plays a Lebowski-esque bearded stoner coasting by on good vibes and gigs cleaning pools. And much like our friend The Dude, Pine's Darren soon finds himself way in over his head in a land development scheme he's enlisted into investigating by Jennifer Jason Leigh's Susan. With the help of his apartment complex's nosier neighbors Jack (Danny DeVito) and Diane (Annette Bening), Darren is quickly mixed up in dealings way above his pay grade. On the upside, Chris Pine spends most of the flick shirtless in a bathing suit, so it's got that going for it, which is nice!
