Priscilla (2023)

Is there any stopping Jacob Elordi's meteoric rise to stardom? Euphoria's breakout male star led two of the buzziest movies of 2023 - Saltburn (like we need to tell you about that one) and Priscilla, in which he portrays the King himself, Elvis. Elordi's embodiment of Elvis will be studied for generations to come, as he delivers arguably the most authentic portrayal of the rock icon ever seen on screen. The looks, the voice, the swagger. It's all there. Priscilla comes from auteur director Sofia Coppola, and tells the story of Elvis' relationship with Priscilla from the woman's point of view. The movie can be considered a foil to 2022's testosterone-fueled Elvis starring Austin Butler. Sofia unveils the misogynistic, drug-addicted, emotionally abusive Elvis that Priscilla became all too familiar with before divorcing him in 1973. While not a knee-slapper, Priscilla does have a handful of lighthearted moments, like when Elvis flaunts his gorgeous body during a pool party. You can also check him out shirtless during a bedroom montage. We'd be more on his side if the King showed us his thing!
