The British HBO Max Original Series Rain Dogs, which premiered on the streaming service in March 2023, centered on Costello Jones (Daisy May Cooper), an aspiring novelist and mother to teenager Iris (Fleur Tashjian). The series opens with the pair being evicted from their apartment for the umpteenth time and with few other options, she must turn to her abusive ex Selby (Jack Farthing), who is recently out of prison himself, for help. Although the show's subject matter is rather bleak, the series' light touch helps to keep things just this side of overwhelmingly depressing, and the bare ass on Nick Blood as Selby's cellmate in the premiere episode goes a long way toward striking that balance!
