Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty (2022-2023)

The HBO miniseries Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty tells about the explosion of basketball's popularity beginning in the late 1970s! It might be difficult for you youngsters out there to believe that there was a time when basketball wasn't as big as it is today.  For about 20 years though, the NBA was dominated by one team, The Boston Celtics and they were all about strong fundamentals, bounce passing, and making sure your shoes were tied right, none of that flashy stuff...

Then in 1979, businessman Jerry Buss (John C. Reilly) spent his entire fortune that he made over the years to buy a team that was perennial losers with one super star, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (Solomon Hughes).  So Buss opened up his pocketbook, dropped everything he had and purchased The Los Angeles Lakers and risked it all by drafting young phenom, Irving "Magic" Johnson (Quincy Isaiah).

Some would say that 1979 was the turning point of basketball as a sport and the newly acquired Los Angeles Lakers were now stacked with talent, under new ownership, and looking to make a statement in the 1980s as the biggest and most dominant dynasties in sports history by becoming "Showtime", the flashiest and most showbiz team in the league. 

This show is chock full of male nudity, with locker room shenanigans galore and plenty of sex montages featuring the various superstar players! We get bare buns from Lakers players Quincy Isaiah, Edwin Hodge, Newton Mayenge, and Wood Harris, the last of whom employed a body double for a full frontal scene! From the front office, we get skin from both John C. Reilly and Jason Clarke, the latter playing former Lakers coach Jerry West! And keep your eyes peeled for some skin courtesy of Sean Small, playing Celtics legend Larry Bird, in the show's second season!
