Rebecca (2020)

Rebecca (2020) is the classic gothic tale by Daphne Du Maurier about a young woman played by the young Lily James who has recently married a man whose previous wife, Rebecca, tragically died. She goes to live with her wealthy new hubby at his manor house named Manderley on the English coast. However, strange things start happening as she struggles to live in the same house that the dead wife occupied with reminders of Rebecca seemingly everywhere. Is Rebecca haunting the new wife out of jealousy and spite or did something more sinister happen here? Of course, something more sinister happened, that's essentially what the story is. Before we talk about the plot - and actually we won't really talk about it anymore after this because that's not why we've gathered here today - let's talk about our leading gentleman. Armie Hammer plays Maxim de Winter who is our hunky leading man. Even that name, right? Maxim de Winter. That's a hot rich guy name. Armie lives up to that idea perfectly and then some when he is shirtless and sexy as he gets ready with his wifey. We don't get to see Hammer take off his pants and lay out his tools which is a shame, but we're happy to get more sneak peaks at his pecs and fit biceps. Armie is the kind of guy who clearly takes care of himself and to that we give him a stiff salute. Now if only we could get Maderlaid by Armie Hammer!
