Red Band Society (2014)

The Fox series Red Band Society made its debut in the fall of 2014 and lasted just one season before a terminal lack of viewers led to its demise. RIP to this teen drama. Set in a hospital cancer ward, the series follows the lives of several teens who are so sick they have to constantly live in a hospital, go to school in a hospital, and make friends with either the other sick teens or the staff trying to keep them alive. A hardcore tearjerker, the show which critics mockingly dubbed "The Fox in Our Stars" was set in LA's Ocean Park Hospital, where queen bee cheerleader Kara (Zoe Levin) is dealing with the fact that her enlarged heart means she'll be going to school in the hospital from now on instead of the school where she was so popular. Gone are her jock boyfriends and hot sidekicks, and in place of them are the cancer sufferer Leo (Charlie Rowe), the Cystic Fibrosis suffering horndog Dash (Astro), Emma (Ciara Bravo) who messed her body up with eating disorders, and Jordi (Nolan Sotillo), the new guy dealing with bone cancer. Narrated by the comatose Charlie (Griffin Gluck), the show mixed teen drama, death drama, and all sorts of E.R. style stuff from the nurses like the gruff Dena Jackson (Octavia Spencer) and MD's like the sexy Dr. Adam McAndrew (Dave Annable). A show that guaranteed stars were going to die off, the show started off promising but ended up on life support before Fox pulled the plug. Thankfully they managed to cram in some super sexy scenes before it got axed, including some scintillating shirtless scenes with series stars Dave Annable and Daren Kagasoff! Dave ends up in bed with a gorgeous woman, and we needed a medical intervention to deal with our schlong swelling seeing his ripped abs and popping pecs. Daren, on the other hand, gets caught shirtless while making out with a young girl in the shower. Mr. Man sure wishes Daren would kagas him off! Those bodies are sick! Add doing those two to our *uck-et list! Red Band Society just needed more scenes that'd get it banned from TV!
