RuPaul's Drag Race (2009-2023)

A smash hit that has run for almost two decades and moved from Logo to Vh1 to MTV in the face of an increasingly anti-drag public, starting in 2009 RuPaul ushered in a new era of drag queens with his Logo series RuPaul's Drag Race. Describing the significance of Drag Race's cultural impact is almost impossible. Millions of people previously unaware of the artistry, humor, and immense talent behind drag suddenly found themselves shoving five-dollar bills down drag panties at gay clubs. Or so we like to think. But if you've been living under a rock, allow your best Judie, Mr. Man to explain things to you. Essentially, a group of drag performers compete in challenges, which will lead them to develop an outfit for the themed runway walk. After the walk has been judged by RuPaul and a celebrity, the two worst performers will compete in a lipsynch battle to see which performer has to sashay away and which one gets to stay. Dozens upon dozens of Drag Race alum have amassed their own die-hard followings. And, possibly most importantly, Drag Race has provided us with enough phrases to fill our own drag dictionary such as sashay away, hiiiiiiii, party, purse first, flazeda, and so, many, more! Of course, fans are living for the sexy contestants on Drag Race, and nobody gets our blood pumping quite like Valentina from season 9! During the epic Snatch Game episode, Valentina (real name James Leyva), does his best Madonna by coming out on stage with just a black bar covering his junk! When he turns around we get a great look at that tight tush. Shantay, you slay! We also get some great backstage stuff like shirtlessness from Amethyst, Sugar, Spice and Robin Fierce. Jovan Bridges shows a bit of bum as does the long and lean Paul Jason Dardo. We could go on and on about the fellas of every size, color and race looking sexy on the show. But we don't want to drag on listing all the hotties showing skin on RuPaul's Drag Race!
