The love of a good man turns out to be just what a troubled young woman needs in the Nicholas Sparks adaptation Safe Haven (2013). Dancing with the Stars' Julianne Hough stars as Katie, a drifter who lands in the town of Southport, North Carolina. Her name's not really Katie, though, she's Erin, a Boston babe wanted for murder according to a bunch of posters around Beantown. In Southport, Katie meets Alex (Josh Duhamel), a young widower who is struggling to raise his children while dealing with an incredible loneliness. She'll get a job, become part of the community, and have Alex fall madly in love with her. Eventually, Alex will find out that Erin was married to an abusive cop named Kevin (David Lyons), who she ended up stabbing to keep him from hurting her. He's still alive, though, and created the wanted posters just so someone would find her for him. It will end up working, Kevin will eventually find Erin, and things will get far more action-filled and violent than most of Sparks' stuff. Good thing Katie is such good friends with local woman Jo (Cobie Smulders) who never interacts with anyone but her. And who nobody else seems to be able to see. And who is weirdly interested in Alex and his kids. And who seemingly disappears into thin air, sometimes. How odd. Sparks will be flying in your knickers when Josh Duhamel hangs out at the beach with Miss Hough. We sure wish he'd take more off, but seeing him swim, jog, and just chill without his shirt off is still tremendously erotic. It's safe to say Josh's abs, dreamy eyes, and overall machismo will have you thinking about running away to be with him! Thanks to that body, you'll be ravin' about that scene in Safe Haven
