Simu Liu is a Marvel guy, so of course he’s buff as hell. A Canadian actor who is originally from China, he migrated to Ontario at the age of five, and grew up to graduate from the Richard Ivey School of Business. When he got laid off from his job as an accountant, he decided to give acting a go, and a legend was born. He made his debut as a desk officer in the series Nikita (the one with Maggie Q) in 2012, and nabbed the part of Dustin in the action series Omega in 2013. He popped up in Played, Out with Dad, and Warehouse 13, and even stood in as stunt double for Fall Out Boy-toy Pete Wentz in the music video “Centuries.” Simu was dramatic as Pau Xie in the Canadian series Blood and Water in 2015, and funny as Jung in Kim’s Conveniencefrom 2016-2021, the role he’s probably most known for in Canada—not to mention going shirtless is actually a thing for him in the show (for good reason; boy is riiiiiippppped). On US TV, you’ll find him as Faaron in the series Taken in 2017, Lt. Paolo Mayer in The Expanse in 2018, playing Willie in Fresh Off the Boat in2019, and Garbage Boy in Awkwafina Is From Queens (2020). He paired with the comedienne again for his part as Shaun / Shang-Chi in the Marvel movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021). Shirtless on the big screen, you can see all the muscle definition he’s built up from years of martial arts training, and you get to see him use those skills, too. Also, and these are two very important alsos, 1) He was a shirtless greeter for Abercrombie and Fitch; and 2) He was featured in the 2021 Sexiest Man Alive issue of People magazine. Just giving the man his proper creds.
