Soul Mate (2026)

Soul Mate is a Boy Love miniseries on Netflix that serves as great supplemental material for anyone missing the men of Heated Rivalry! Ryu Narataki (Hayato Isomura) is shocked when his hockey teammate and best friend Arata Oikawa (Koshi Mizukami) admits that he has feelings for Ryu. So much so, that Ryu picks up and leaves Japan for Berlin. A couple of the details remain fuzzy for viewers until the full picture comes into view: Arata jumped out of a window after Ryu didn’t reciprocate Arata's feelings in that vulnerable moment. Arata is in a coma back at home, but Ryu has his own troubles. He’s rescued from a church fire in Berlin by a sexy boxer! His name is Johan Hwang (Ok Taec-yeon), and he might just have what it takes to help Ryu work through some of his tension. If you know what we mean. This show is way less graphic than fellow gay hockey series Heated Rivalry, but we do get two butts as the men hang out in the bathhouse together. They aren’t just soul mates. They’re hole mates!
