Our Staff Picks column is a new addition that takes you back to a time when video stores reigned supreme and the "Staff Picks" section was the place to find out what films were worthy of one's time. Of course, our version has a decidedly nude angle, as we suss out which films from a certain genre with great nudity. This week: 90s sex symbols!
The 90s was pretty unique in its adoration of young, hot celebs. A lot of these guys are still enjoying success today which goes to show that these Hollywood hotties are as talented as they are easy on the eyes. Since these guys were and are hot, let's celebrate them in their sexiest roles!
Brendan Fraser
Brendan Fraser has certainly made a comeback - I mean, he won a Best Actor Oscar earlier this year! He is enjoying newfound respect and acclaim, but never forget where he came from. He was one of the most beautiful young actors working in Hollywood in the 90s. He showered nude in School Ties alongside other beloved 90s studs Matt Damon and Chris O'Donnell. In this 1992 flick, we saw Brendan's booty - and theirs, too!
Luke Perry
Luke Perry was such a dreamboat. He was a TV heartthrob best known for acting in Beverly Hills 90210. Playing a teen on TV is pretty squeaky-clean, but he did go nude in the 1996 film Normal Life (normalize ass!). He outdid himself years later, though. He embraced more of a bad boy image in 2001 when he appeared full frontal in the HBO prison drama Oz.
Leonardo DiCaprio
Leo became the hottest thing on the planet after starring as Jack in 1997's Titanic. You could not go anywhere without seeing Leo's face on the cover of a magazine. Fans flocked to the theaters to live vicariously through Rose's romance with Jack in order to watch Leo's face again and again. Before Titanic, we fell for his penis in a full frontal shot in the 1994 film Total Eclipse.
Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt is still everyone's dream guy because he has aged like a fine wine. In the 90s, he was THE guy. With his chiseled jaw, fit body, blond locks, blue eyes, and perfectly pouty lips Brad looked like he was made in a lab to be the ideal man for the camera. Then he proved to us that he could also act! After his breakout role in Thelma Louise, he continued to show skin in award-winning movies like Twelve Monkeys and Fight Club.
David Duchovny
X-Files was one of the hottest shows in the 90s, so it's no surprise that the bedroom-voiced Duchovny won the hearts and pants of viewers around the globe. Between his sexy character on X-Files and his narrator role in Red Shoe Diaries, David was unabashedly synonymous with sex. So it's no surprise that he went on to play a sex addict in Californication (and that that took over as a real problem).
