Scruffy Steve Lemme was born and raised in New York and went to Colgate University, where he joined the Beta Theta Pi fraternity and formed the Broken Lizard comedy troupe with fellow frat brothers, Jay Chandrasekar, Kevin Heffeman and Erik Stolhanske. The group’s first project was the hilarious direct-to-video flick, Puddle Cruiser (1996), with Steve playing Felix Bean, who flashes his bare buns as he puts a condom on his erect peen.
Broken Lizard’s first wide-release movie came five years later with the cult classic Super Troopers (2001). As prankster and funny guy Mac, Lemme struts around in a bulletproof jockstrap, leaving clear indentations on his round rump when the protection comes off!
