Review

A cynical hustler goes on a life-changing, moneymaking, sexually-filled journey in the homoerotic pic Strapped (2010), not to be confused with Forest Whitaker’s TV movie Strapped (1993) or the comedy Strapped for Danger (2017) featuring the collective junk on Chris Pelletier, Graham Stokes, Lars Rieck, Mark-Eugene Garcia, Matthew Menendez, and Ryan Hanley. Wait, what were we talking about? Oh yeah, the indie flick Strapped. Thanks to the writing and direction of Joseph Graham (who also serves as co-producer), the drama follows a handsome young hooker (Ben Bonenfant) who leaves the streets to make his way through a client’s maze-like apartment complex. If he could find his way out he’d leave, but it’s not that easy, especially since he just enjoyed a surprisingly tender hookup with John (Artem Mishin). As the pretty prostitute tries to find himself, he crosses paths with a plethora of weird dudes including a gypsy troubadour (Michael Carlisi), David (Michael Klinger), Leon (Carlo D’Amore), Tommy (John Kiernan), and Sam (Paul Gerrior) who bones a bare Mr. Bonenfant 57 minutes into the movie. Not to be outdone, Gary (Nick Frangione) loses his top while having gay fun. The same can be said for Jacob (Raphael Barker). That goes double for Mr. Mishin who gives a full frontal performance after getting it on with the lead character. Despite the fact that a lot of critics missed this flick, flesh fans will appreciate its candid coverage of skin. In other words, these Strapped hunks are vying for your attention. Make that, erection!
