The Comeback (2005-2014)

In the HBO comedy series The Comeback, Lisa Kudrow valiantly tried to break out of the Friends box by mocking the entire idea that she ever could. How? In a very meta twist, Lisa played Valerie Cherish, a washed up, middle-aged television actress trying to get back into the A-list spotlight she used to dominate. The fictional former star of the 1989 sitcom I'm It!, when Valerie scores a role as Aunt Sassy on the horrible sitcom, ‘Room and Bored’, she agrees to do a reality show, allowing cameras to follow her around as she struggles to embrace her new acting job, mainly because the industry has become more youthful. That mockumentary style persists throughout the first season, which aired in 2009. In 2014, we got a second season which sees Valerie shooting a reality show all about the upcoming HBO docudrama set to chronicle the abuse she suffered by the creator of 'Room and Bored,' Paulie G (Lance Barber). Along the way we'll meet her devoted hairdresser since the 80's (Robert Michael Morris), the hot blonde actress Valerie despises who costars with her on 'Room and Bored' (Malin Akerman), and a hilarious pair of foreign twins brought on 'Room and Bored' in a desperate attempt to spice up the stale formula (Maulik Pancholy). The Comeback will have you coming back for more, thanks in part to some rare yet pleasing nudity. On season two, episode seven, Robert Morris Michael bares his ample ass while lounging in bed until Valerie barges in. He's two tons of fun that Mr. Man would sure like to take for a spin! But it is Brian Wilson that steps up and steals the show, flaunting his cock and balls as he enters the scene and brags about being Robert's hubby. Who knew being a hairdresser to one sort of star got you such a fine young boytoy? Now that’s a back we’d love to come on after watching The Comeback!
