What do you do when you come across a woman who shares your same recent heartbreak? Swap houses to spice up your life, of course! In the romantic comedy The Holiday, American Amanda (Cameron Diaz) and Brit Iris (Kate Winslet) are two freshly single gals on the heels of major boy troubles. Taking a risk for once in their lives, the women decide to lend each other their house so they can experience something new. In modern times this would be called Airbnb, but back then it was a big deal! What’s an even bigger deal is that the women end up falling in love with the local flavor - flavor of man meat that is - of their respective retreats.
