The Mosquito Coast (2021-2022)

Based on the novel of the same name by Paul Theroux—and starring the author's nephew Justin Theroux in the lead role—The Mosquito Coast is a television adaptation that debuted on Apple TV+ in the spring of 2021. Theroux stars as Allie Fox, a scientist working for the United States government who gets fed up with what he sees as rampant corruption within the institution and flees with his family to Latin America. However, when the government accuses of him of absconding with secrets, they will track him and his family through the some of the most dangerous territory on earth. The first season was totally devoid of nudity, but when the show was picked up for a second season in 2022, our hopes—and our pants—were raised! Eight episodes into the second season, series newcomer Alejandro Akara went shirtless for a spell, though we can't help but wonder why, with all that heat, he wouldn't also take off his pants!
