The Second Mother (2015) follows a mother who must deal with her estranged daughter after many years. Val is a live in nanny for a well-off family in Sao Paulo, Brazil who left her daughter to be raised by relatives 13 years ago. Now her daughter is getting ready to go to college so she comes to live with her mother. The two must figure out their relationship after being apart for all those years.
