The Skin I Live In (2011)

Flamboyant Spanish director Pedro Almodovar tries his hand at horror in The Skin I Live In (2011). Elena Anaya stars in this twisted tale of sex, revenge, and gender-reassignment surgery as Vera, the frequently nude, frequently operated upon captive of demented plastic surgeon Robert Ledgard (Antonio Banderas). Ledgard’s wife committed suicide after being disfigured in a car crash, and now he’s looking to re-create his true love…with Vera as his canvas. Both Banderas and Roberto Álamo up the ante with their fannies. These handsome Hollywood hunks are just what the doctored ordered.
