The (Silent) War (2019)

The (Silent) War (2019) is a Spanish war drama that brings the harrowing events of a revolt against Franco's regime to light in a highly stylized way. It's October 1944 and with the Germans driven out of Southern France, the anti-Francisco Franco Spanish resistance fighters known as "maquis" decided they should try to take over a piece of Catalonia for themselves. In the film, Vicente (Hugo Silva) and Anselmo (Asier Etxeandia) are two of these fighters. They're old friends who somehow botch a mission to blow up a bridge, which leaves Vicente captured and Anselmo both newly deaf and on the run. With his unit in complete disarray, Vicente flees to the mountains with the Spanish forces hot on his trail. But when Captain Bosch (Aitor Luna) proves to be incapable of doing the job, the Spanish call in a badass, female, eye-patch wearing Soviet mercenary sniper named Darya Sergeevich Volkov (Olimpia Melinte) to find him and kill him. Often compared to a Western, a Quentin Tarantino flick or a videogame, this manhunt movie is a whole lot of fun. But the most fun you can have with your pants on is when you get to see Asier without his! At one point, Asier has been captured and ends up writhing around on the floor fully nude in a completely black room. His buns are covered in dirt, but they still look sexy we'd love to wipe them down. He's in a lot of pain, trying to remember better times but Mr. Man was having quite the time watching him wiggle! We love a naked Asier showing his ass and we won't be silent about it!
