The Bride (2015) is based on one of the most beloved Spanish plays of the past hundred years, 1933’s Blood Wedding, and looks at the dire consequence a woman faces when she leaver her husband-to-be on their wedding day. Only identified as “The Bride” (Imma Cuesta) and “The Groom” (Asier Etxeandia), the lovers originally met as children, and together had an inseparable bond with Leonardo (Álex García). Years later and it’s time for The Bride to marry The Groom at a small ceremony.
