The Strain (2014-2015)

Based off of the highly popular books of the same name, FX's The Strain was an hour-long horror series from creator Guillermo Del Toro that kicked off in 2014 and lasted four seasons. Back before Covid showed the world that The CDC isn't all that great at stopping new diseases, the show centered around Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll), the head of the CDC's Canary Team, which investigates mysterious and seemingly unexplainable outbreaks. They're basically The X-Files for diseases. Dr. Goodweather is called in to investigate a plane full of incapacitated passengers who've landed in NYC. He finds the plane full of dead bodies and weird parasitic worms, only for the holocaust survivor Professor Abraham Setrakian (David Bradley) to show up and beg him to burn the bodies and destroy the giant coffin that's in the plane's cargo section. Yes, it ends up we're dealing with vampires and once the bodies start reanimating and biting people, things are basically too late. The world ends up besieged by these bloodsuckers and only the doctor can find a way to stop it. But he's going to need some help. For four seasons we watched the vamps engage in a Civil War with each other while the humans tried to keep their vampire issue in check. The series showed vampires as sort of hosts for blood craving parasites, more than the sexy and bruting bloodsuckers we've become used to, but that doesn't mean there wasn't still plenty of man candy to get a glimpse of. There was bare butt from the tall and muscular Kevin Durand as he goes skinnydipping in the pool, as well as from Josh Horvath as he's chained up and offered as a meal for the vampire master. Plus, there's a little bonus shirtless action from Miguel Gómez as he shows off his boxing skills. We also got some very sexy looks at the mouthwatering and shirtless Jack Kesy while he was lost in a foursome with three ladies. Room for one more, Jack? Or are we gonna just have to jack off while dreaming of joining in? Mr. Man would let a vampire get a taste of a vein if they looked like the dudes on The Strain!
