WHAT / IF (2019)

Not to be confused with the animated Marvel TV show, Netflix's WHAT / IF is a steamy series from the man behind Revenge, where each episode takes on a different moral quandary. One of Netflix's one season wonders, the show debuted in 2019 and centered around Lisa Donovan (Jane Levy), a scientist convinced her biotech company could save millions of kids' lives if she just got funding. Rejected by everyone else, Ann Montgomery (Renee Zellweger) says she's happy to hand out the cash, as long as she's allowed one night with Lisa's pro baseball player husband Sean (Blake Jenner), that Lisa's not allowed to ask either of them about. WHAT/IF the makers of Indecent Proposal (1993) filed a lawsuit? But since Lisa's not allowed to ask about the night and Seas has bad rage issues, what if that night was a lot weirder than a sex filled one? There's also Lisa's gay brother Marcos (Juan Castano), who keeps finding himself in threesomes, as well as Lisa's best buddies Todd (Keith Powers) and his wife who just might be cheating on him with a serial rapist (Dave Annable), Angela (Samantha Marie Ware). Moral quandaries often include sexy men like Dave Annable who takes off his shirt in a locker to show his Ann-abs. We'd do Mr. Annable like an animal! Blake Jenner hides his manhood but does give a peek at his buns and sexy shirtlessness when he hops out of bed, as well as when he joins his wife in the shower.
