Dubbed “Punk’s first superstar drummer” by Rolling Stone magazine, and considered by some to be one of the best rock drummers of his generation,Travis Barker has made quite the name for himself in the world of music. Though he’s appeared in many bands, he’s mostly known for his work with Blink-182, and for drumming shirtless to show off his fully inked skin. In addition to drumming, he’s got an entrepreneurial spirit, and has owned a taco place, clothing line, a cannabinoid-infused product line for wellness, given drum lessons through Guitar Center clinics, and started various record labels. He’s also dabbled with reality TV, starring in Meet the Barkers from 2005-2206 with his wife, a Miss USA and Playboy Playmate Shanna Moakler (they’ve since divorced); and in Inked and Iced in 2022. He’s also had cameo roles in the movie American Pie (1999), and on the seriesCSI: Crime Scene Investigation in 2006. Mostly, though, he can be seen in music videos for Blink-182, where he shows his bare ass in more than one musical adventure, and in videos with everyone from Rihanna, Demi Lovato, and Avril Lavigne, to Pitbull, Machine Gun Kelly, and Kid Cudi. In addition to his musical talents, Travis has also earned fame the hard way, by surviving a plane crash that killed four people; he spent more than 11 weeks in hospitals and burn centers, enduring more than 16 surgeries. He also got engaged to Kourtney Kardashian. Pretty good career for a guy who was inspired by Animal from The Muppets. Hey, we all gotta start somewhere.
