At the age of eight, he and his family moved from Michigan to Peachtree City, GA where Travis attended high school. He left college to pursue his dream of an acting career back in California. Travis made his acting debut on the short-lived FOX sitcom Quintuplets. His acting resume has expanded significantly since, with roles in The O.C., 7th Heaven, Malcolm in the Middle, Happy Endings, Two and a Half Men, 2 Broke Girls, The Last Ship, and Hart of Dixie. His Transformers (2007) character Trent DeMarco appears again in the Friday the 13th reboot. Both films were directed by Michael Bay. Travis has modeled for Abercrombie and Finch. In the comedy Mantervention (2014), the chiseled chested Travis is shirtless while wearing bulge-inducing shorts, underwear, and bathing trunks for several scenes. He also kisses a man in the film.
