As cliche as Law & Order's previews can be when they announce episodes with the phrase "ripped from the headlines", sometimes that is the most accurate description to provide for a situation that is in fact based on real life events like the indie action flick A Clear Shot (2020).  This story follows the infamous and the largest (to date) hostage crisis in American history that originally took place at Good Guys! Electronics in Sacramento back in 1991.  We follow four Vietnamese immigrants that storm into an electronics store looking for a big score, but as things develop, they end up entrenched into an hours long siege where they hold up over 40 hostages at gunpoint!  As the local, state, and federal authorities surround the building, they continue to make outlandish demands to the hostage negotiator, Gomez (Mario Van Peebles), who tries to keep the situation calm inside for the trigger happy gunmen, the hostages, and the SWAT team itching to get in the doors and be heroes.  A Clear Shot brings up, well, a story "ripped from the headlines", or a lost chapter of American history that still, to this day, goes down as the largest and one of the most deadly hostage crisis' in our country.  As this is primarily an action movie, there isn't much sexy going on as most everyone is just held at gunpoint for the feature, BUTT... We do get to see the daddy detective Kappy (played by the criminally sexy Marshal Hilton), who is requested to deliver a bulletproof vest in his tighty whities, well really, tighty blueies???  Either way, he spends a good portion of hostage interactions in a pair of bulge blasting blue briefs and nothing else!  Solid older hunk alert coming your way!
