On the other side of the world, A Place To Call Home (2013-2016) is a place in rural New South Wales. Set in 1953, this Australian series follows a young woman named Sarah Adams (Marta Dusseldorp). After working as a nurse in Europe, the World War II survivor sets sail to return home on a boat. Along the way, she meets and befriends the wealthy Bligh family. The son, George (Brett Climo), like her a lot but his mean old mom (Noni Hazlehurst) does not. And so the soap opera struggles are established amid a lush backdrop that includes the fictional Ash Park estate. Alas, that’s the only ash flashed during this small screen saga. Yet despite the absence of dudity, the costume drama does cover a homosexual affair between James Bligh (David Berry) and Henry Fox (Tim Draxl). The shirtless gents can be seen making out in bed during a post-sex scene on episode 3 of season 4. When they share a cigarette, the guys prove they are literally smoking hot! In an effort to change things up, Mr. Berry and Mr. Draxl swap spit while underwater in episode 5. All it takes is one glance at their gay romance (and awesome abs) to make viewers splash their pants! If that’s not arousing enough, the same episode showcases the bare back and swim trunks on Harry Polson (Dominic Allburn). As you can see by these handsome hunks, A Place to Call Home should have been called A Place to Call Bone!
