Bridge and Tunnel (2021-2022)

For the good people of the outer boroughs of The Big Apple going as far as Jersey and even Connecticut, Bridge and Tunnel is practically a slur in their direction from the high falutin folks of Manhattan.  It hits especially hard for the blue-collar New Yorkers from Long Island because they are shoe-horned between Manhattan and the upper crust of society in The Hamptons.  In this Epix series, we follow a group of recent college grads from Long Island, who are struggling to make a go of it in 1980s Gotham when they try to leave their working class world far behind them.  You see, these six friends have known each other since they were in grade school, so it's in their very nature to look out for one another after they finish up their education at the local school.  For Jimmy (Sam Vartholomeos) he's struggling to leave his former girlfriend Jill (Caitlin Stasey) behind to go be a wildlife photographer in Alaska.  Also, Mikey (Jan Luis Castellanos) is the buff accountant, looking for the fast world of NYC but is also looking to keep a "friends with benefits" relationship alive with his former fling too.  All in all, these six buddies need to figure out if their homesick blues are going to outweigh the potential of their future out in the world and away from Long Island.  Lucky for us though, series creator Edward Burns, didn't shy away from casting some serious heart throbs in this period piece, and there is no shortage of 80s haired hunks flaunting those toned torsos on this series!
