Moviegoers mostly know Dennis Hopper for his memorable roles in 1986’s Blue Velvet and Hoosiers. But the seasoned actor who shared the screen with James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause (1955) and Giant (1956) also used his talents behind the scenes. As a director, Mr. Hopper made Easy Rider (1969), Colors (1988), Catchfire (1990), and Chasers (1994). The latter flick follows two Navy officers — the brash Quartermaster Seaman Apprentice Edward Devane (William McNamara) and the no-nonsense Chief Petty Officer Rock Reilly (Tom Berenger) — as they escort a blonde babe named Toni Johnson (Erika Eleniak) to military prison. She’s set to serve a lengthy sentence for going AWOL but as they make their way across the Southeastern seaboard to the penitentiary destination, the sexy prisoner is determined to escape. As such, she dons disguises and even sabotages the transport van with her tampons. Yes, you read that right. While waiting for a ride to get the vehicle repaired, the trio shack up for the night at a hotel. At this point, the frustrated fellows discover the sad reason behind Toni’s crime. This softens them up, but it also makes Eddie hard when he’s seduced by the shrewd blonde. The skintastic act showcases McNamara’s McChest and McBulging briefs! If that’s not hot enough, he’s in the buff in another scene. Not only does William parade his naked T&A, Berenger exposes his impressive pecs as well as his boxer shorts. Needless to say, we love a man in (and out of) uniform!
