If ever you wanted an origin story, we feel like the mysteries behind how Tom Hanks ended up with his long hair in The Da Vinci Code (2006) might be at the top of our lists.  Just kidding, of course it's more about the mysterious world of secret societies, symbolism, history, and government espionage that famed author Dan Brown has brought to us through his books.  In this new television series brought to you by Peacock TV, we do get an origin story of Dan's most famous character, Harvard professor and symbologist Robert Langdon (Ashley Zukerman) who in this re-imagined sequel to The Da Vinci Code, is still getting pulled into a grand mystery that implicates the highest powers in the world.  When Robert comes to find out that his mentor has been kidnapped by an underground group of fundamentalist zealots, hunting for The Lost Symbol, to open a portal of unlimited power.  The groups leader is the tattooed from head to toe psychotic monster, Mal'akh (Beau Knapp), who will stop at nothing to seize the power to himself for global domination.  The only problem is, he needs someone to help him figure out the what, where, why, and how the the symbol and the only man for the job is the reluctant Robert Langdon.  So he kidnaps his mentor, holds him at gunpoint, and forces the symbols master to do his treasure hunt for him.  The series is definitely a twisty treasure hunt of a show, but it's Beau Knapp who leaves our stomach in knots as the muscle bound and body tattooed bag guy, who is likely to spend little to any time in a shirt in this one!
