Extinction (2015)

Zombie apocalypses are kind of like force fields. Force fields are so ubiquitous in science fiction that a percentage of the population thinks they actually exist. One day our kids will ask us what the zombie apocalypse was like, and we’ll have to explain that although it hasn’t happened, it will soon, and that zombies like to eat children.

The movie Extinction (2015) is about a post zombie apocalypse world in which there are only three known survivors. Patrick (Matthew Fox), Jack (Jeffrey Donovan), and Jack’s daughter Lu (Quinn McColgan) find shelter from the flesh storm by making the snowed-in town of Harmony their home. In additional the getting a bad case of cabin fever, Patrick finds that the zombies, thought to be gone, are actually back and have mutated into hideous monsters. Will these three people make it out alive? Although Patrick and Jack are somewhat stingy with the flesh, we do get a great glimpse of a shirtless Matthew Fox as he takes a bath!
