Flowers in the Attic: The Origin (2022)

After successfully rebooting the controversial 1979 V.C. Andrews novel Flowers in the Attic back in 2014 and turning it into a franchise for the network, Lifetime continued the saga in the summer of 2022 with the prequel series Flowers in the Attic: The Origin! The series follows the origins of the Foxworth family, in particular siblings Malcolm (Max Irons) and Olivia (Jemima Rooper), whose forbidden love establishes a family curse that continues for generations. However, as the show's second episode lets us know, Olivia isn't the only potential lover Malcolm has his eyes on when he shares a steamy interracial gay kiss with co-star Jordan Peters! Granted, this is still Lifetime, so there's probably not going to be any gay sex, but for an cable television adaptation of a controversial novel, it's pretty damn hot!
