Hidden Pleasures (1977)

Hidden Pleasures is a roller coaster ride of a drama film released back in 1977. Eduardo (Simón Andreu) is a wealthy middle-aged closeted man who finds carnal pleasures like so many gay men of his era had to - via cruising. While cruising near a university, Eduardo comes across Miguel (Tony Fuentes), a stunning eighteen-year-old whom he falls madly in love with. Eduardo uses his connections to track down Miguel, and uses his money to try and woo Miguel, but ultimately discovers that Miguel is actually straight. Miguel turns down Eduardo's friendship after discovering that he is gay, but returns to Eduardo's side after Eduardo is robbed and beaten. However, this fickle friend again turns on Eduardo after Miguel's ex-girlfriend spreads a rumor that Miguel is gay. He takes out his frustration on his unconventional friendship with Eduardo.
