What do the following movies have in common? The Black Swan (1942) starring Tyrone Power, The Swan (1956) with Louis Jourdan, The Swan Princess (1994), Black Swan (2010), Swan Song (2021) featuring Mahershala Ali and Swan Song (2021) starring Udo Kier. If you answered they all have the word swan in the title, you’re right. And if you said all of these flicks are feature films, you’d also be correct. Perhaps that’s why the short film goes by the title I Am Not a Swan (2016). Armand Lameloise’s French drama digs into the world of personal secrets, exploring how to react when someone confides in you. This theme plays out through the eyes of Pierre (Axel Giudicelli), a young man who works as a gigolo to put himself through college. One afternoon, the molecular biology student/stud meets up with his client Hélène (Carole Fantoni) who tells him her dark secret. Pierre’s not really pleased about having this information. Yet who is he to judge since he keeps his moonlighting gig a secret at school. What’s no secret is the fact that Mr. Man enjoys skin in movies. As such, we’re happy to report that Monsieur Giudicelli gives us a fantastic full frontal view of himself when he gets out of the shower and then lounges in bed with Madame Fantoni. As Axel sprawls out and talks to his lucky leading lady, we get lucky with shots of his abs, ass, sack and uncircumcised shaft. Axel is not a swan, he’s a man!
