Life's a garden, dig it! Joe Dirt (2001) is the name of David Spade’s mullet-sporting, acid-washed jeans wearing janitor who only wants to find his long-lost parents, having been separated from them at the Grand Canyon when he was just a child. He roams the American heartland looking for them, bouncing around from one misadventure to the next, until he finds himself in La La Land where a mean-spirited shock jock played by comedian Dennis Miller, asks him to come on his show so he can berate him. While he knows he's the butt of the joke, Joe's earnestness and wild white trash tales about beefing with his hometown bully Robby (Kid Rock), lusting after his beautiful best friend Brandy (Brittany Daniel), meeting ex-Mafia bosses in witness protection (Christopher Walken), getting swept away in a hot air balloon, finding a meteor that ends up being airplane poop, and even getting kidnapped by Buffalo Bob (Brian Thompson) make him a radio sensation. All Joe wants to do is find his parents, but he just may realize he's had a whole family this whole time. A wild comedy with a shocking amount of heart, the Dirt Man's cut-off flannel and mullet might have you mulling over if you'd bring him home to meet the parents, but his skinny body will have you hoping to drag him into your backseat! In one scene, Joe's working as a carny in the middle of the sticks. He attempts to and succeeds at impressing Jaime Pressly by flexing topless on the Tilt-a-Whirl. His skinny body will make your head whirl at the carnival of sexual pleasure you know he could provide! Later, he rubs lotion on his bare chest at the bottom of a well for a woman's underwear wearing Buffalo Bill type character played by Brian Thompson in a parody of Silence of the Lambs (1991). David, you dirty dog, you! If you only knew how dirty our thoughts were, watching you in Joe Dirt!
