John Doe (2002)

Bearing a striking resemblance to the blockbuster hit The Bourne Identity, the fox mystery series John Doe opens with a man (Dominic Purcell) pulled from the water, unconscious, naked, and with no memory of his name or how he got there. With a vast knowledge, but no personal history, he goes on to assist the police as a detective, while attempting to discover the events that lead up to his memory loss.  Given Mr. Purcell’s hunkster status and killer body, it’s a shame that a body double was used in the opening scene, which turned out to be the shows only nudie scene in its brief one season run. From skinfull to canned, more hunky nude hams in between may have been just the thing to unlocking the mystery that is John Doe.
