Channel surfers looking for naked T&A can head past The Streets of San Francisco 1972-1977), 21 Jump Street (1987-1991) and South Park (1997-present) to Resurrection Blvd. (2000-2002) featuring a post-Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990-2000) Brian Austin Green. Set in East Los Angeles, the Showtime series follows the ups and downs of the Santiago family. What makes the members so interesting is that they represent three generations of boxers. In other words, they’re a bunch of knockouts! Trying to keep the family together is Roberto (Tony Plana), the widowed patriarch who deals with an illness while worrying about his macho sons — Miguel (Mauricio Mendoza), Carlos (Michael DeLorenzo) and Alex (Nicholas Gonzales) — and feisty daughters Yolanda (Ruth Livier) and Victoria (Marisol Nichols). While Miguel manages and trains Carlos, a promising middleweight who has overcome a tragedy to earn the number one contender slot, Alex finally ditches the world of pugilism and attends medical school. As the family struggles with daily problems, they stay strong, proud, and mostly clothed. Although the drama doesn’t go overboard with nudity, there’s enough flesh flashed to hold our interest. On the first episode, Mr. DeLorenzo parades his pecs. Not to be outdone, Jaimé Carillo (José Solano) bares his back and buns! The same can be said for Mr. Mendoza on episode five and Peter Terrano (Nestor Carbonell) on episode six. Apparently, the show went by another title in Canada. We’re not exactly sure what it was but if it were up to us, we’d call it Resur-erection Boulevard!
